Crossing geographical and cultural divides to foster goodwill by building relationships through shared virtual exchanges and projects, Global Visits received special recognition by the Institute of International Education at their 4th Annual IIE Best Practices Conference in 2009

Global Visits is launching a new platform for global engagements that in addition to students and faculty will engage people as citizen diplomats.  Virtual exchanges are the ideal way to keep people all over the world connected that cannot be stopped by global pandemics, wars or strife….times when the world is in most need to staying connected. 

“Internationalizing the Classroom without Leaving the Room”, presented at the 15th annual FACET (Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching in Indianapolis, and for the Lilly Conference for the Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership, Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana focused on an award-winning innovative approach to bridging cultural and geographic divides while engaging students  and faculty in global study exchanges.
